1967 Omega Constellation Linen 168.027 White Gold Bezel Cal. 564 Automatic

1967 OMEGA CONSTELLATION LINEN 168.027 WHITE GOLD BEZEL CAL. Up for sale is a nice Vintage Omega Constellation from 1967 with a gorgeous linen dial and white gold bezel. I only recently got my hands on this watch, but I was offered another similar example and I can only keep one. These C-case constellations have become very popular and represent a timeless Gerald Genta design.

Unfortunately, many of them are often worn and over polished, but this one is nicely preserved. The dial looks amazing and the case has all of its original lines and doesn't seem to have been refinished. When I first got it, the white gold bezel had a little bit or tarnish after being stored away for so long. I cleaned this up to reveal its brilliant shine. It currently runs well and keeps time.

The movement photos show that the movement itself is in brilliant original condition, with no parts seemingly missing or swapped out. However, the service history is unknown and it has not been serviced since I've owned it. However, it could benefit from a service to get it back to COSC specifications. The only quirk I see is that the date is a little offset in the date window.

It changes properly, but could benefit from adjustment during service. Otherwise, it is a really nice example.

I installed the watch on a new 18mm black leather strap; the watch does have a 19mm lug width, but I unfortunately did not have any in that size. I really wanted one of these watches after loving the newer Omega globe master. Please review the photos as they are part of this description and feel free to reach out and ask any and all questions.
