This is the McQueen model. This model is the first automatic chronograph ever produced. Early version Calibre 11 movement. NSA band with extra links. This watch is in overall excellent condition.
It does run a bit slow, losing approx 30 seconds/day. I would imagine an adjustment or cleaning would fix that, but it's unremarkable for a watch of this age. You will not find a better price on this model and it's a wise investment piece. Feel free to ask any questions you like. I imagine this is a 1970, due to the calibre 11 movement and early serial number.
That said, I might be off by a year because after exhaustive research, I have been unable to find a serial number database for the early Heuer models. Case size is 40 x 38mm with some very minor scratches. Crystal is in excellent condition. Dial is in very good condition and has not been refinished. It has very little of the edge corrosion that is common for these models and cannot be seen while inside the case. Slight fading of the lume on the minute hand, but it's nothing to detract from the overall appeal. It can possibly be cleaned or you can certainly find a replacement hand. I have seen vintage hands online for this model, so they are not impossible to find. The watch is all original as far as my research can tell with the exception of possibly the NSA bracelet. Some were marked with a Heuer stamp. This is marked with an NSA stamp. I'm not sure if they all came with a Heuer stamped NSA bracelet or only certain models or for a certain period of time. He had accepted it as a trade in.
